Without sign-in, designs live in the browser that created them. Another computer, browser or private window will not show them. Go back to the original computer and browser.
After signing in and enabling cloud storage, the home page lists every design in the account. Designs marked "Needs download" need a connection to open.
Deleted designs are under "Recently deleted" in the account panel and can be restored for 30 days.
A card marked "Locked: belongs to a signed-out account" means this computer still holds edits that account has not uploaded. Sign in with that account to upload them, or click "Discard".
The design may be in another project. Switch projects in the left column of the home page, or check "Uncategorized".
It will not save, "browser storage is full"
3D designs are stored in the browser's localStorage, which is limited. When it is full, the modeler's File menu shows a warning instead of pretending to save.
First back up the current design with "File ▾ › Download graph JSON".
Delete designs you no longer need. Large imported meshes take a lot of space; simplify the source model in its own software before importing.
Private or incognito windows may disable storage. Use a normal window.
2D drawings are stored in IndexedDB and are less affected.
Import is 1000 times too big or small, wrong unit
When importing a 3D model, the dialog lets you choose the file unit (mm, cm, m, km, in, ft) and previews the converted size. If the preview looks wrong, change the unit before importing.
3DM files usually carry a unit. OBJ has none; pick it yourself. glTF is always metres.
DXF import does not convert units; values are taken as the design unit. If the design is in metres and the DXF in millimetres, scale by 0.001 with the Scale tool afterwards.
Files far from the origin (over 10 km) are localized automatically to avoid precision problems.
When exporting STL you can tick "output in millimetres" for 3D-printing software.
DWG will not open, DXF reads nothing
DWG is not supported. Save as DXF in AutoCAD, or convert with ODA File Converter.
Only ASCII DXF is supported. Save binary DXF as ASCII.
The 3D modeler's DXF import reads LINE, LWPOLYLINE, POLYLINE, CIRCLE and ARC only.
What phones and tablets can do
Phones can open player pages: drag sliders, orbit, download.
The 3D modeler and 2D drafting currently need a computer. A window at least 1280 px wide is recommended.
On a tablet use landscape and collapse the graph panel first (Ctrl+`).
Open a share link on a phone or a portrait tablet to get a read-only touch viewer: orbit, zoom, section and plan by floor, measure, and inspect objects. See Sharing and player › Phone and tablet viewing.
Shortcuts do nothing
If an input field has focus, letters go into it. Click the canvas first.
In the Revit input style the single-letter 3D shortcuts are off; use two letters (WA, MV and so on). The same applies while the cursor is over the plan pane. See two-letter shortcuts.
While an IME is composing (Chinese, Japanese), keys belong to the IME. Press Esc to leave composition.
Browser-reserved keys cannot be intercepted: Ctrl+N, Ctrl+T, Ctrl+W, Ctrl+Tab. In 2D drafting outside full screen use Shift+F11, Shift+F12 or the status bar buttons instead of F11 and F12.
Every tool button's tooltip shows its shortcut.
I clicked plan mode and nothing changed
The floor plan appears in the Top pane. It is not visible in the "3D only" layout. Switch to "4 views" or "Plan only".
Press ZF to zoom to fit after opening.
In the plan a door is an opening with a swing arc and a window is an opening with a sill line. The preview only appears while the cursor is over a wall.
I cannot see the node graph
Press Ctrl+` or click "Graph" at the right of the toolbar.
When collapsed, a handle stays at the bottom. Double-click it or drag it up.
Dragging the panel very low collapses it. Double-click the divider to restore the default height.
Paint bucket paints nothing, or the whole object
Outside an object a click paints the whole object. To paint face by face, double-click the object first, then click faces.
Holding Alt samples instead of painting.
Pressing B switches coloring back to "by material". If the display panel is set to "by layer" or "by value", material colors are not shown.
Put the bucket down with V or Esc.
AI keeps saying "busy"
That message means the server or network did not respond. It also appears offline. Check the connection first.
Make sure you are signed in or have entered an invite code. Without one the message is "Please sign in with Google or enter an invite code first".
An exhausted quota shows "This month's AI quota is used up".
The AI panel is in the two 2D workspaces; the AI canvas is in the 3D modeler, 2D drafting and vector design.
"AI is not set up on this server" means AI is not enabled on this site; it is not a busy message, and everything else still works.
Share link or player page stopped working
Share links and player pages created without signing in expire after 7 days. Create them while signed in, or click "Convert to permanent link" in the player panel, and they never expire.
A link stops immediately when the owner switches to "Not shared" or clicks "Disable link".
Shares created while signed in are purged after 365 days without an update.
If the link holds an older version than your design: click "Update content" in the player panel, or "Update shared content now" in the share dialog.
My designs do not show up on another computer
Check the badge at the top right of the home page first: "Cloud storage is temporarily off" means the live site is not offering cloud storage right now, so designs stay in the browser that created them, signed in or not; "Cloud storage off" means you have not agreed yet — click the badge to turn it on. See Cloud sync and privacy › How to tell what is on.
When cloud storage is available and turned on, signing in with the same account on another computer shows the list, and content downloads when you open a design.
To move without the cloud, use "File ▾ › Download graph JSON" on the old computer (for a 2D drawing export DXF, SVG or PDF), then load it on the new one.
Folder sharing needs cloud storage to be available and the server to have the feature enabled; it is not available on the live site yet. See Cloud sync and privacy › Folder sharing.
I moved a design to the wrong folder
Press "Undo" in the message within 8 seconds of the move, or press Ctrl+Z (⌘Z on a Mac) on the home page. The undo history is gone once you reload the page.
If that time has passed, move it again: "Move to…" in the card menu, and pick the original folder.
The app language is set under Account › Settings on the home page: Traditional Chinese, Simplified Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, French, German.
The Help Center is available in 8 languages; see the language list on the Overview.
To report a problem: account menu at the bottom left of the home page › "Help & feedback" › "Send feedback". Include your browser and version, what you did and what you saw.
